In this work measuring 14 by 30 meters, we find the artist’s iconic style: clear and sharp. An essential painting, almost primitive, but with a strong impact. The theme that inspired the artist in this work is that of evolution, which gives it its title.A gradual and continuous process of transformation, whereby a given reality passes from one state to another – the latter generally understood as more evolved – through successive changes. Here it is represented by a stylized human form that rises, evolving through the connection between one form and the next emphasized by the choice of different colors and assuming new positions in space to project itself dynamically towards the end of the building. What awaits us around the corner? The future, represented by a dark but colorful universe and some concentric circles. These are the gateway to a new evolutionary dimension for humanity. For the artist, it is a question of placing oneself in a new perspective with enthusiasm, emphasized by the smiling expression of the stylized form, and of being aware of the challenges posed by the future.Luca FontLuca Font is an Italian artist from Bergamo who began his career in 1994 as a graffiti writer. His works have been published in the most important Italian and international magazines dedicated to this type of art.Luca is known on the international scene for being one of the first to abandon the traditional approach to graffiti in favor of a style closely linked to graphics and typography. He is a multifaceted artist who, since 2001, has also dedicated himself to tattooing and later to illustration: he designs book and record covers, posters for events and collections for streetwear brands. His culture and sensitivity can be seen in every detail of his work. The attention to color, line and surface reveals a profound study of the material. The hybridization of graphic art and sculpture gives life to his works. Layers and surfaces are superimposed, thus constructing a flat three-dimensional object.According to Luca, the irreplaceable fascination of every surface lies in its inevitable unpredictability, in the active role it plays in the creative process, in its limits and in the way it affects both the initial design and the final result. It requires a continuous dialogue between the ideas and the techniques needed to realize them.
