MACS’ work, not surprisingly called ‘Creative Soup’, is reminiscent of one of the most famous contemporary artworks in history: Andy Warhol’s Tomato Sauce. The aim here is to awaken positive associations in people’s memories, to stimulate a déjà vu.The idea of juice or concentrate includes the desire to bring together various elements that are essential for successful teamwork, such as cooperation, the courage to dare and to think outside the box. But there is a futuristic dimension in this work represented by the flying scooter without wheels and a bull man cutting the thread with the past. A suggestion of the sustainable future to which we must aspire.MacsMACS, by birth Antonello Piccinino, is one of the two artists who chose the water tanks of the fire-fighting system to bring his work to life.Born in Lanciano in the province of Chieti, where he currently lives, he became passionate about drawing at a very young age and began to study as a self-taught artist. In the early 1990s he created his first graffiti, signing them with the name “MACS”, the pseudonym that is still his “artistic name”.He worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and graffiti artist, and moved for a few years first to L’Aquila and then to Ferrara. He is well known in Italy and abroad, painting murals in many cities in Italy and around the world, participating in numerous important group and personal exhibitions, events, national and international writing and art exhibitions in general, and has collaborated with various famous artists and brands.Over the years he has worked in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Wales, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, the United States, Brazil, Singapore and others, together with the biggest names in graffiti, street art and the contemporary art scene.
