Here, we present “Passione e coraggio,” “Passion and courage”, a striking work by Cheris, one of the most compelling and talented artists on the Italian scene.

Born in Milan in 1984, Cheris quickly established herself as a creative force across multiple disciplines. A street artist, tattooist, and painter, she brings an unstoppable energy, blending the language of the streets with the art of tattooing to create a unique and powerful visual expression. Her works are characterized by the use of intense reds and deep blacks—colors that speak of burning passions and the unfathomable depths of the human soul.

In “Passione e coraggio”, Cheris uses these colors to create a visual universe that instantly captivates. From a distance, the container seems almost camouflaged by the surrounding greenery, but it is the contrast between nature and the vivid colors that makes the artwork emerge. The central figure is the serene face of a woman, surrounded by red roses. She appears to be sleeping, cradled and protected by the petals in a moment of peace. But the meaning goes deeper than it first appears.

The roses, with their beauty, symbolize passion and love, but they also remind us of the challenges often hidden behind such beauty. The thorns, though unseen, are there, representing the obstacles women face every day. This is a tribute to female courage—to all the women who confront life’s challenges with determination and strength, never giving in to the thorns they encounter along the way.

Cheris describes herself as a “warrior without rest or peace.” Her art knows no boundaries, moving from walls to canvases, and even to human skin. With her bold and authentic style, she creates a world that reflects her determination and her refusal to accept compromises. In recent years, Cheris has participated in prestigious international events like Amazing Day and Meeting of Styles, and she is a regular at the most important Tattoo Expos across Europe. She is currently a Resident Artist at RiverSide Klan Tattoo Studio in Milan and continues to exhibit her works in galleries, alongside some of the biggest names in the art world.
