Welcome to “De manera natural”, created by artist Carolina Blanco known as Carolì. Born in Buenos Aires on September 15, 1986, Carolì has Italian roots on her mother’s side. Her artistic journey took a transformative turn when, at the age of 15, she moved with her family to Padua. This voyage across the ocean profoundly changed the way she lived and created art, igniting a deep connection with Italian and European art.

After graduating in Arts, Music, and Performing Arts from the University of Padua, Carolì began painting freely, guided by her memories and experimenting with various techniques, from watercolor and acrylics to spray paint. Her style is marked by an almost childlike immediacy: her characters are born from strokes that evoke her childhood and become visual stories of the present.

Carolì considers herself more of a self-taught creative than an artist, as art has been her companion throughout her life, allowing her to express her emotions and thoughts through vibrant colors and bold lines. Despite the apparent cheerfulness of her works, there’s an underlying melancholy—a subtle reminder not to forget the simplicity and wonder of childhood.

The use of spray paint has pushed Carolì beyond the confines of canvas, leading her to paint on city walls. One of her first large murals was painted on the shutter of Caffè Margherita in Piazza della Frutta in Padua. Since then, in 2017, her artistic production has grown richer, addressing deep and timely themes like family, freedom and the constraints of the female figure, the acceptance of diversity, and the right to experience childhood with carefree joy and authenticity.

In “De manera natural”, dedicated to her daughter, Carolì uses the vibrant colors of her Latin American childhood to convey a sense of joy. But the work also carries a deeper message: a call for adults to reconnect with nature, in contrast to the technology that so often dominates our lives.

The container she painted on becomes a bridge between memory and the present, a symbol of connection across generations and cultures. The desire not to forget childhood and the yearning to rediscover that lightness and innocence are central themes in Carolì’s work. The pure colors and bold contrasts in her work, create a simple yet joyful visual language, designed to bring a moment of lightheartedness to anyone passing by, whether visiting or simply taking a break in the bustling context of the Interporto.
